Built by Aalta Screen Systems, the BX260 Folding Arm Awning is designed to function as an outdoor shade for paved open-air areas in homes such as facades and terraces. The BX260 uses a retractable cassetted arm awning mechanism to horizontally project a low profile fabric over the façade or terrace, acting as effective garden shade against the sunlight and heat.
The BX260 fully cassetted arm awning is available in two operational models: as a motorized arm awning or as a manually operated awning. When motorized, it is operated using an electric tubular motor; when manually operated, it is controlled using a crank and gearbox. An optional automatic wind and sun sensor can also be installed to automatically program the position of the folding awning according to prevailing light and wind speed conditions.
The BX260 is built for durability. Its arms are made from extruded powder coated aluminium; hinges, from high pressure cast aluminium alloy; springs, from zinc plated high quality steel; and cables, from grease-impregnated zinc plated steel.
