Trich-A-Soil ® is a biological product formulated by ECO Organic Garden from two beneficial soil-borne fungi. This garden product is suited for application on turfs and vegetable crops, and for use in aquiculture, horticulture, and viticulture.
Trich-A-Soil contains selected Trichoderma spp. (Trichoderma viride) and T. harzianum. Trichoderma spp. are saprophytic fungi belonging to the Ascomycetes Class known to colonize at the plant root zone to provide a healthy growing environment for plant roots by feeding on organic material excreted by plant roots. Trichoderma spp. also feeds on decaying plant material, including decomposing stubble, leaves, and roots to produce root fertiliser.
Trich-A-Soil also contains T. harzianum at over 16x the spore count of similar products. Trich-A-Soil is sold in granular bio-inoculant form for ease of application. Produced every six weeks, Trich-A-Soil bio-inoculant is shipped directly to the customer to assure its effectiveness.
Since Trich-A-Soil contains living fungi, the product is sensitive to certain fungicides such as benomyl, propiconazol, and triflumizole. Care should therefore be taken to read the fungicide label on the Trich-A-Soil pack to determine fungicide compatibility.
