Paving services provided by Marion Sand & Metal Pty Ltd help customers in laying pavers. They first prepare the site to produce a uniform depth and a firm base. They make sure whether these pavements have a slope to shed surface water. Before installing with pavers the ground is levelled using a string line set.
For light traffic areas the base is dug out further 50mm and, they are replaced with quarry rubble. Pavers can be installed only on levelled surface so the layer is covered with loose sand of between 25 and 40mm. Grid of stringlines are placed across the laying area so pavers are laid in a straight line.
Once these pavers are laid, unused pavers can be cut using brick bolster, paver splinter or diamond saw. Plate vibrator is the most convenient way to lock these paving systems in to place. Pavers that are used in small areas can be compacted with the help of rubber mallet. As soon as the compacting process is over fine dry sand is spread across these pavers in order to fill in the gaps. Second compaction locks pavers in place. Marion Sand & Metal Paving Centre installs paver systems in various patterns and colours.
